Nanny Goats in Panties Rotating Header Image

What’s the Matter With You People?

While shopping for perfume today — I was looking for something reminiscent of seaweed or algae with a real swampy finish — I noticed they were having a fire sale on domain names. I pessimistically checked the availability of nannygoatsinpanties.com and would you believe it wasn’t taken? I mean, how stupid is everyone? Am I the only one who thinks the name is so common, that everyone would have had one by now? There it was in the bargain bin, reduced several times, oppressed and deprived of its rights. I said ‘No one puts baby in a corner’ and grabbed that bad boy for 10 bucks.

And now it’s mine, all mine!

And you can’t have it, because I took the last one.

Now, aren’t you all ashamed of yourselves?

Margaret — can’t believe someone else goes “window shopping” for domain names. I bought several that I just parked because I didn’t want someone else to get them. Karen

merlotmom: It can be really quick. If you have a few seconds, go to your dashboard, click on the Settings tab, and then click on the Publishing link. At that point you might have to click on Advanced Settings and that’s where you enter your domain. If that doesn’t work, then it is explained somewhere in the Blogger Help section. Good Luck!

Okay, I have a domain, chose it first thing…problem is I knew nothing about blogging so I started on blogger and now can’t figure out how to switch my blogspot address to my domain! One other thing on my tech to-do list. Ahhhh!

I’m simply agog that your domain name was available, but I had a similar experience. My blog is using a very old domain name that I’ve had for years, from back when I first started freelancing and before my last name changed (again). When I started Jan’s Sushi Bar, I didn’t even think about the domain, but once I began connecting with other midlife bloggers, I thought it just might be a little easier to remember. And what do you know – http://www.janssushibar.com was available too! So, I just parked the domain. Now everyone has two ways to avoid my blog. 😛
