What is a White Elephant Gift?
This is usually something you have in the back of your closet because you never use it or you don’t like it. Or a Christmas gift you got that you would love to re-gift. It is usually something inexpensive and hopefully hideous. At least to you. The crazier the item the better, but non-crazy is welcome too.
I don’t live in the U.S. Can I still participate?
Yes! As long as there are enough people who can ship to your country, you will be able to participate. I will try to match people up within their country, but if you’re willing to ship internationally, please indicate that on the RSVP Party Form.
NOTE: In addition to Americans, we currently we have Canadians, Brits, and Australians on the RSVP list, so if you’re from any of those places, we can keep it within the country for you!
How do I participate?
Fill out the RSVP Party Form at the bottom of this post. A week after Christmas, I will match people up and privately send you the mailing address of a fellow blogger/participant. Then you mail off your gift!
Can I blog about the White Elephant Gift I receive?
Absolutely. In fact, this is encouraged. Take a picture and show everybody how funny or ugly or awesome your gift is. Link back to the sender as a Thank You card. I will host a Mr. Linky blog post around gift arrival time showing off my White Elephant Gift and inviting everyone else to link up to their own posts showing off their gift.
